GENERAL QUESTIONS
You
have several options for placing a course order. You may call us to
place an order at 1-800-775-6339 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., EST, Monday -
Friday. If you received a mailer with an order form, you may complete
the form and send it to us. The mailing address is 7711 Auburn Road,
Utica, MI 48317-5220. Our fax number is 586-726-1059. Our email is
aes@amedsys.com. Payment must be received in order to process your
order; for fax and email orders using an order form, be sure to
complete the section for credit card information.
You may also place an order online. To do so, simply click here. Make
the appropriate selections from the drop down menus, and continue
through to check-out.
- How can I pay for my order?
We
accept Visa,
MasterCard, American Express, mailed checks, and money orders. For
orders processed physically on our premises, we will also
accept cash.
- How do the online courses work?
Online
courses for insurance continuing education are a convenient way to meet
your mandatory requirements. After selectiing a course that meets your
credit requirement needs, you will create an account with a username
and password. After paying the course fee, you will be able to navigate
to your User Homepage. From there, you will find your course materials
and test. After reading your course materials, you will take your test
online. Upon completion, you will receive your score automatically. AES
will file your credits and send you a Certificate of Completion.
- Will I need any special software or
plug-ins to do complete my course online?
Yes, but
you probably already have it installed on your computer! You will need
Adobe Reader to access the course files. If you do not have Adobe
Reader, you can download it for FREE. Simply click here
- What if I
fail my continuing education exam?
First, we
have a high pass-rate, so it is not usually necessary for a student to
have to retest. However, if you do not pass your exam, you will be
given the opportunity to retest -- without any additional cost! For
online courses, three exams are pre-loaded with the course. If all
three led to a failing grade, we would contact the student to assess
the situation, and restart their session with a new set of exams. For
students with a paper exam, we would fax or email a new exam for
retesting.
- When does AES file my credits with the
state?
AES
will file (or report) earned CE credits to the state or its
representative (e.g. Prometric, Sircon, Pearson, etc.) The
AES
business standard is to file credits on working days (Monday through
Friday) from 3 to 4 p.m. EST. Credits are not filed on holidays or
weekends.
- What if I need my credits filed the same
day I submit my completed test?
For
online courses, this is generally not needed, as test completions are
filed the day the are received. However, you should keep in mind that
tests received after 3 PM will be
graded the next day. Also, tests are not filed on weekends
or holidays.
For
paper tests, AES offers expedited fax grading. For a $35.00 fee, AES
will accept paper tests faxed or emailed to our office; tests received PRIOR to 2 PM
will be graded that day (Monday-Friday).. Tests received
by fax or email AFTER
2 PM will be graded the next day; when that day falls on a
holiday or weekend, the test will be filed the next business day.
- When
will I get my official Certificate of Completion for my CE course?
Our
standard
process is to email your Certificate of Completion following the filing
with the state or its representative. However, we also offer delivery
of the Certificate by surface mail. If this option is chosen,
allow one week delivery. Should you need the Certificate
immediately, we can fax
or email the Certificate for a $10.00 processing charge. You will still
receive the original Certificate in the mail. If you require additional
Certificates to be sent to you by surface mail, we will provide these
to you at no extra charge.
